The City Secretary is responsible for maintaining the official records of the City. The City Secretary has many responsibilities and among these responsibilities are: preparing the agenda packets for all City Council meeting, hearings, workshops, and prepares minutes thereof for permanent records. The City Secretary maintains ordinances and resolutions and official minutes of the City Council. The office is also responsible for all municipal elections.
The City Secretary also serves as the recording secretary for the Los Fresnos Community Development Board, Planning and Zoning Commission, and Park Advisory Board.
All Public Information Requests are submitted to the City Secretary and processed according to the requirements of the Texas Open Records Act.
